BGD 566 ISO 6860 Conical Mandrel Tester Coating Shaft Bending Machine

1. Description:

The Conical Mandrel Tester is designed in accordance with the standards of GB/T 11185 and ISO6860-84, and is used to evaluate the crack resistance or anti-peeling performance of the coating of colored paints, varnishes or related products when bending around a conical axis under standard conditions. This instrument enables the coating to extend at different diameters through a variable conical diameter, allowing for an accurate evaluation of the adhesion performance of the coating film.

Operation steps:

1. Carefully cover the surface of the paint film with paper, clamp it between the conical shaft and the operating rod, and secure the fixing plate.

2. Bend the test plate along the conical axis with the manual operating lever

3. Bend the sample 180 degrees with uniform force within 15 seconds

4. Remove the paper and check the cracked areas of the paint film

5. Record the location of the crack and measure the distance from the crack to the smallest side of the bending shaft diameter

6. The extension value of the paint film can be determined in the correction curve
